Artist & Residency Programs Create puppets and a play, perform for your friends! Dragon Theater Puppets presents a 5 day puppet camp. Each day kids will learn how to build puppets, act on stage, practice and perform a show! Great for building confidence, creativity and teamwork skills! Each child will build their very own puppet, learn new voices, learn basic acting skills, rehearse and perform a show! This is a 5 day program that can be done all in one week, or split up over a month. Each class will last 1 hour. You Provide: White Glue, scissors, colored construction paper, assistant or class teacher to supervise and access to power outlets. We Provide: Fabric, paper plates, rods, eyes felt, hot glue, hot glue guns, yarn, decorations and the Puppeteer. Schedule: Day 1 Puppeteer will read or tell a 10-15 minute story to the class and act out all the characters. Kids audition for different rolls and the class is split into 2 story groups. Day 2 Puppet construction day! Day 3 Finish puppets using different materials appropriate to age level they build puppets with the help of their teachers and the puppeteer. Day 4 Start rehearsals. Each child is given a roll and lines to remember. Then each kid will participate in theater games and exercises. Day 5 Show time! The kids rehearse one last time and perform for their friends, other classes, parents and teachers!
